Water features provide a great focal point for a garden. It gives a sense of calm and tranquillity to the day to day city life rackets. A well placed water feature centred in the a backyard or even near a front entrance with the addition of water lights refracting onto above trees and verandas, is a great way to wind down, reflect and process your thoughts at the end of the day.

Water features can be as simple as a bowl that over flows or complex with multiples levels. Maintenance wise it is always easy to treat water with chlorine; however if you wish to have fish and plants involved you have to treat it like one big fish tank. It is important to discuss the inclusion of fish in the design as some water proofings are fatal to fish. An external filter should also be installed if you want to have fish.
